The fourth went on after PFC Nobles' death to partake in some of the most memorable moments of the European theater.
After Cherbourg, the fourth went south and helped take St. Lo on July 25.
And after that, on August 25, the fourth along with the second French armored division liberated Paris from Nazi rule.
Finally, In December of 1944, the fourth dug in at Luxembourg and stopped the Nazi advance in the battle of the Bulge.
